About the Course

This course provides both practical and theory based learning for people interested in pursuing work in the Hospitality Industry. Learners will gain skills and knowledge in the following areas:

  • Food Preparation and Cooking Methods

  • Use of Equipment and Utensils

  • Working safely in a kitchen, and Safe Food Handling and Storage

  • Food Presentation

  • Planning Menus and Budgeting

  • Organisation and Time Management, and Communication skills in the workplace

First 2 weeks – Thursday 28th Oct & Thurs 4th Nov – online 2hr sessions (10am – 12pm) 

Following 5 weeks – Thursday’s – face to face 4 hrs sessions (10am – 2pm)

This course provides a pathway to Accredited programs, eg Certificate II in Hospitality.

T1 Holidays: 19-22/4/22 (10am - 4pm)
